TATTOOS
Symbol of "Deep Shadows..." on the left calf:
It probably was done before the release of the third album in the year 2001, the symbol stands for "fire".
Heartagram on the neck:
"Itīs the symbol for the band. The heart stand for the good, and the other is similar to a pentagram. That has been a sign for the diabolical to the Heavy-Metal-kids in the 80ies. So itīs like a Yin and Yang
Tribal-ornament on the left arm:
"I absolutely wanted to have a large tattoo. Being completely drunk, I promised my friend Hyke, that he can tattoo my whole arm. He own a little Tattoo-shop in Helsinki. I had the idea to line up many small hearts. But later I prefered this tribal."
Stylized clef on the left chest:
"It was made last year. Many people think, itīs a clef, others interpret it as an "S" standing for sex."
Heartagram:
"Thatīs how I call this tattoo, which is also our band-logo. Our guitarist had the same on his right arm, bassist Migé on his left. I designed it by myself, it symbolizes the good and the evil side of a love. I had it made two years ago."
Heart on the wrist:
"This is my first tattoo. I wanted to have an heart on my body. Itīs the symbol for love, respect, honesty, devotion, trust and all these little, funny things. And I searched for a part of my body where I can always see it - so itīs the wrist."

"My teachers hated me!"
What was he like as a teenager at the age of 14, when school got on his nerves and when he had his first experiences with girls?
School
"I hated school. And school hated me. Even though I quite liked some opposition. I was interested in history and maths. Art and music were also okay. At the age of 9 they forced us to learn Swedish, which I absolutely didn't feel like. To this day I still don't know a single word of it. English was much easier, because I already knew that from television. They don't synchronise films in Finland, you know, they only subtitle everything. The teachers couldn't stand me, cos I was wild and violent. I constantly had rows with anyone. I still don't move out of the way for a good fight."
Parents
"I have no idea whether I rebelled against my parents or not. What's 'rebellion' anyway? Anyway, they were relatively fine, only forbid me the necessary things, like all parents do: drinking, taking drugs. With going out I never had any problems. If I would go away for one summer long, spraying graffiti and decorating all of Helsinki with weird tags, the police would just pick me up and take me home again. Then I would have some trouble at home. I don't think they were ever particularly happy with me and my little brother, for he is exactly as much of a good-for-nothing as I am. What he's doing wight now? Erm, nothing."
Girls
"I can't remember anything about my first girlfriend. It's also difficult to say who exactly was your first girlfriend. The one you first held, the one you first kissed? Or the one you first slept with? I was always in the company of girls anyway. The are more easy-going to hang around with. What I looked like, I dread to think. Probably like shit. But the girls liked me anyway."
Music
"I have always been interested in music. I also never considered another profession but rock musician. At the age of 7 I got my first bass guitar. Later I also learned a bit of guitar, keyboards and drums. My favourite bands at the time were mostly American alternative bands like Black Flag or the Lemonheads. My room was full of posters of '80s rockbands, Alice Cooper for example, or Kiss."
Hobbies
"I've never been interested in anything else but music. Sports I found terrible, doing it myself at least. But I also can't understand how people can like watching it on television. My most valuable possession? Probably some old vinyl record of mine.I collected everything I could possibly lay my hands on: records, jewelry, antiques, Katholic art - Through the years that only became more difficult instead of easier!"
HIS FAMILY
His mother
Like all members of Villeīs family, she is not mentioned in the public. There are only a few informations about her. She has Hungarian roots, lives together with Villeīs father and brother in Helsinki and seems to have a very close relation to Ville. When Ville quit the school, she let him do and tried to support him. (Ville: "She was just disappointed that I couldnīt go to the army.") Now sheīs proud of him and his success. (Ville: "My mother and my father are happy. They often ask me for free-CDs. But actually itīs nothing special for them to see me on stage. They have seen me preparing myself for this moment and rehearsing for fifteen years. Now they are happy that I finally can do what Iīve wanted to do for a long time, and that I can pay my rents and cigarettes.") She is the woman on the cover of the EP "666 ways to love", there are no other official pics of her.
His Father
Villeīs father works in a sex-shop in Helsinki, the name is "The adultīs toy shop". Ville helped him and gained his first own money in the shop. Like Villeīs mother, also the father supported Ville and his music career. Heīs Finn, there is not more known about him.
His Brother
Villeīs younger brother was born in 1984 and has a very close relation to Ville. His favourite hobby is thai-boxing.
He doesnīt like the music of HIM, but he visits the concerts in Helsinki.

Ville and the 69 Eyes
Ville and also the other band members are in a very close relation to the Finnish band The 69 Eyes, vocalist Jyrki is one of Villeīs best friends. There is no rival between both bands, both have supported the gigs of the other band and were performing on the same festivals. Ville has done backing-vocals for three albums of The 69 Eyes and will probably do this also on the next.
